Master G biography

Master G initially started spinning 7” vinyl’s at his local community centre with one deck, a pair of house speakers and one red lamp back in the early 70s.  He progressed to larger venues such as the Palais, Scamps, and Legendry Ad Lid from late 70s to the late 80s and more recently the Coco Lounge and Amici.

Master G got his first break on radio by securing a daily morning show (The Morning Glow) on Heatwave Radio where he developed his radio skills for nine years.  Within those nine years Master G also worked on several incremental radio stations including Hot FM (Leicester) and Power FM (Nottingham).  He currently presents The Grooveline (1600 - 1800 GMT) on Saturdays with 975kemetfm which is also online at www.975kemetfm.com.

Master G is a man whose musical knowledge is astounding and his record collection is to be admired; he'll bring you funk n soul from the 70s & 80s mixed with a rich blend of classic rare groove!  He says: "The feel good party music of the 80s as contributed to the sound of 21st century funk n soul and he can’t wait to get you all funked up!”.  He’s currently a member of the Goodtimes Crew which specialise in feel good party vibes twice a year aboard the Nottingham Princess.
