Organisations around the city have been raising money for Pakistan flood victims

People and organisations in Nottingham have been busy raising money to help flood victims in Pakistan. Donations to Muslim Hands, based in Hyson Green, have added up to £1.9 million over the last month. Through the donations, the charity has managed to distribute food packs and safe water to thousands of families. Mayah Riaz, who owns the Carrington-based fundraising organisation Deen Events, raised over £24,000 at a function in St Ann's, and The Pakistan Community Centre on Woodborough Road has raised £10,000 through collections.
